History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Mardred was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Mardred's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: Dagger hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In her 19th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
