Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His white hair is braided into rings. His eyes are green.
Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.
History: Born in the south to a Shepherd, Zook learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Zook took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up lance and armor he uses now. He now mingles about in high society.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Shepherd responsibilities is difficult; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories she has discovered
History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.
Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.
History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Mary alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.
