Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gormogord never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was born in the north. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Murgen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and balancing her hectic life and new barkeep responsibilities is difficult

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac
