History: Gifted from a young age, Mumpena studied abroad. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Mumpena was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Surina is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.
