History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Chad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Birel was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.
