She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Beggar they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Soapmaker, and she later adopted a second son.

She came across an abandoned tomb where she found a relic that called out to her. After picking it up she was cursed by vampirism.
