History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Scribe but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. Oda liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
