History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Marshal. He tends to his Marshal job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Rurik was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Knight, but he was a colossal failure. After a long history of fighting, Rurik and his spouse have recently divorced.
