History: Carlin hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She tends to her Map Maker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Shipwright arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
