Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Mûglûk was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Dyer. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Expand his business; and doesn't want to be a dyer and was forced into it by his family

History: Born in the north to a Herbalist, Therlin learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She's also a talented Mayor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and balancing her hectic life and new herbalist responsibilities is difficult
