History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Body Guard arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Mantus never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Eggren was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and someone believes her a fraud

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Varg was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has never given up on his writing dream.
