History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Mella was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Mella's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Tiefling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. She bought a morningstar and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
