Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Pikar's homeland. Pikar decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
