Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His first spouse was a Seamstress, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to end his boredom

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He's also a talented Carter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Doctor responsibilities is difficult; and he has decided he is irredeemable
