Description: A hulking man with gigantic muscles, he wears baggy white pantaloons and a yellow scarf. He has white hair. His eyes are a pleasant blue.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He tends to his Map Maker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

Description: This exceptionally lanky woman wears dark leathers with embroidery. She has a long chestnut ponytail with little hanging trinkets. Her violet eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. He wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His hair is short and brown. He has several tiny opal earrings on each ear.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hugh does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Description: She is a physically imposing dark-skinned woman. She wears just a grey suit. Her hair is blonde and very short. She has gleaming, smiling blue eyes.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her dancing with anyone who is interested.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Being a Shepherd kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
