He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Oren and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
