History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hugh grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Hugh liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He tends to his Baker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Fragrant lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Navigator and was forced into it by her family.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Barrister. He has worked as a Barrister like his mother before him.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and to be a fisher again
