History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Malquis was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Bookbinder. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
