History: Born in the east to a Miller, Curran learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Miller. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Rurik was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He worked as a nervous Spy and found it very stressful. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Fisher they were divorced and he won custody of their son.
