History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Beast was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: She was born in the west. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
