History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Veloptima grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Veloptima. Being a Mason kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Oblar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and someone believes him a fraud

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. He wears a feathered hat to cover his moderate length chestnut hair. He has several tiny emerald earrings on each ear.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Gerald lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Gerald abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he has money and likes to spend it
