History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jade grew up listening to his mother's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Jade was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: Markosian hails from a village terrorized by drow. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Markosian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Markosian. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
