Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Heian was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She has dyed her greying silver hair a little too much giving a sharp silver color. She has gleaming, smiling amber eyes.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and money/treasure
