He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has worked as a Barrister like his mother before him.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dragonborns in Megren's homeland. Megren decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Courier. Being a Courier kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
