History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Hoshû was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Shipwright for the past few years.
