Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pyntle embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Carter they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Spice Merchant, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Soapmaker. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Valida is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Valida was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 11 years.
