History: Born in the south to a Layabout, John learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Layabout hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Adrex was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nyx was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Engraver. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
