Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. Cairn enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: The child of a Healer, who enjoyed hunting, Cairn was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Cairn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Cook arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered music. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and she seems to be bored by most things
