History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Hupe alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has worked as a Mercenary like his father before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mercenary responsibilities is difficult; and many gnolls want him driven away

He has several tiny aquamarine earrings on each ear.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature whip.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Verna was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
