Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: She was born in a small plains village. Through the years after Avelina was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Avelina's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She tends to her Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She wants revenge against dire rats; and regain custody of her son

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: Darrak hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to dire rats.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

She wears a tan tunic with white highlights, and long violet pants that bunch up around her shoes. Her long brown hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. She has violet eyes.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Meriele was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and balancing her hectic life and new scribe responsibilities is difficult

Description: He wears a suit in poor condition. It has not been laundered in sometime and has been worn in activities one would not normally wear a suit during. His hair is short and chestnut. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is mildly Tiefling supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He is a Jackalwere in disguise. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered orcs who tried to eat his hand. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and sabotage a competitor
