History: He was born in the north. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: Berrian hails from a village terrorized by drow. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature nunchaku.
