History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Barendd was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dwarves in Barendd's homeland. Barendd decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dragonborns in the south were limited. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Miller for hire.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and expand his business
