History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: Birel is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.
