The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She found a children's book about a Gnome Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Spy. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Eldeth grew up listening to her father's many stories. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
