History: Quick lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Architect but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and balancing his hectic life and new architect responsibilities is difficult

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Maegan took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Fisher for the past few years.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Lerissa grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and meet up once more with her childhood friend
