History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Raymond was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mayor for the past few years.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. Baern enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a Mason, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Baern grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Baern. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Marshal profession.

History: Born to a Marshal, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Born to a Jeweler, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Her first spouse was a Jeweler, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To unite with her brother.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
