History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Stylist. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Merchant. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of drow once and for all.

History: Born to a Bookbinder, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Nurkara was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Sarai embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Motivation: She is content; and she seems to be bored by most things
