History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Hugolina never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Masseuse hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
