History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Jabbie was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has achieved small success as a Gardener.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Mayor arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
