Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He uses divination through singing.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ahvain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Maiathah lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To unite with her brother; and to reunite with her absent father

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her childhood dream was to be a Crown-heir, but she was a colossal failure. She became a Assassin soon after.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: She was born in the south. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac
