History: Merla was born with her father's beautiful face. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Merla was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Thava was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gifted student he started as a Spice Merchant, but he got bored and became a Doctor. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
