His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Map Maker they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Laborer, and he later adopted a second son.

She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying west to reunite her family. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
