History: She was born into a rich family. In her 12th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Shautha alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Gifted from a young age, Dondon studied abroad. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Dondon grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dondon. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a rival would like him out of the picture
