History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. After months of barely getting by, Leucis managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
