History: Marastyr lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Sellsword they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Shipwright, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Through the years after Cockaby was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Cockaby's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
