History: Roland lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Half-Elves.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Merchant. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers; and balancing her hectic life and new merchant responsibilities is difficult

Description: The dark-skinned woman stands 3'1" and tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her hair is white and very short. This brown eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She hates Halflings with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety.

Description: This man wears silk and lounges about seductively, and sports empty pouches on his belt. His fur is gray and curly. His half smiles and blue eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 44. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wishes to resurrect an old love
