History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter.
