History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Miller arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. She has achieved small success as a Miller.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Miller responsibilities is difficult; and she is greedy

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it
