He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Korfel abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born in the north. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Eloise alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

History: Vlorn lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
