History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Volen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and she wants revenge against dire rats

Description: This man is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized sapphire on his left hand. His moppish white hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He has all his life been fascinated with dancing.

History: Grom was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Map Maker for hire.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and balancing his hectic life and new map maker responsibilities is difficult

Description: A pudgy man standing about 6'0" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He wears a robe, a symbol of death around his neck, and a sickle on his belt. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his youth he was a Gardener, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and retire the richest man in the east
